Colors

Red hot anger
Bitter Brown
Calming blue like the skies
sickeningly sweet envy
as green as a fresh cut lawn in the spring
complacency as clear and empty as air itself
with no consistency or purpose
Bright splashes of yellow
swirl in fleeting moments of happiness
then fade to pale contentment
as
dark blue loneliness swells inside
and deepens to the deep black of despair in an instant
while silver thoughts of relief whisper in her ear
As she struggles to fight them away
hope as soft and sweet as lavender fills her soul
and grows to determination as no nonsense as navy blue
bright and dark all at once
soft pink like a summer rose fills her cheeks as she hides within herself
unsure and unconfident once again
while strength as deep green as an oak grows
slowly but surely inside her subconscious
beneath the growing desires flaming inside of her
as bright and intense as the deep orange flames of a fire
true blue confidence replaces complacency
and blends with her deeply rooted strength
and blazing desires
to paint the most beautiful picture
of
direction
focus
purpose
A rainbow of emotions
stretching from
where she is
to where she wants to be
each necessary
each with a purpose
each a stepping stone
on a palate
of colors
Painting her life story
one
bittersweet
